Reply To: Gas or gamble? Economy forces some to choose

I believe taxes in europe are even higher but I think one thing people need to realize is at some point we will have to find ways to pollute less and find ways to be more efficient in the things we do. We all know oil is a finite resource and I think we are just beginning to feel the pressure to change our ways. This discussion makes me want to talk about another discussion of the some of the changes in the world markets and ways of living that will probably happen in our time. I do find it odd that car manufacturers have always had the technology to make our vehicles more efficient but maybe the oil companies had more influence on this.
