I have a few links going on, but I’ve never spent much time cultivating them as I see it as a short-term solution. It’s inevitable in the longer term that anything that can be “gamed” will eventually be removed from the algos as they get better at evaluating quality.
In time, I believe it is far more likely that who you link to will outweigh who links to you.
The “Content Is King” philosophy is a sound concept, but of limited relevance at the moment as the algos are far from intelligent enough to make full use of it, but they are getting better and it has the long term potential to be the main thing.
