One of these questions you cant answer as some pages can only handle links due to self imposed limits e.g. page load time, while other pages need extra banners due to low content. I also think that its has more to do with banner information rather than size. e.g. having a banner advertising 100% bonus while your visitor is looking for no deposit bonuses, in this case the perfect size banner wont matter.
