One of the reasons for USA Today’s early success was their relatively complete statistics for professional sports at a time when those numbers were hard to come by. (Back before the Internet, and when newspapers didn’t routinely carry a lot of that information.) It’s nice to see they remember their roots. 
And yes, this is good news.
