It’s a good hope 
I have many people who play the free slots on my site daily.. I have 1 person (in 6 months) that converted. That person deposited $25 and is gone.
I keep the free slots on my site, but it really doesn’t give me much… Maybe I’ll change the landing page and see what happens, but I have no huge urge since I haven’t gained crap from it.
