We don’t have severe weather in the UK but we do have severe reactions to normal seasonal variations – if it snows a bit, the roads freeze over, all the schools shut, pipes freeze and burst leaving whole towns without water, same with electricity, and trains grind to a halt, if it’s windy it makes the front page news for days when leaves get on the track, if it’s hot the roads melt, the railway tracks buckle and everyone dies of heat stroke. National obsession you see, I think we’re just jealous of places with proper severe weather :1circling
Anything stopping you moving to the Bahamas then? I don’t get why you can’t buy a property and not just stay there – do you have a finite time to stay if you’re not a resident?
