Yes investing money in the players to insure the money gets raked over and over again is a terrible idea. Rakeback makes break even players able to come back over and over again so instead of making a few dollars once you make a continual stream of revenue and retain the player much longer. It also gives cash infusions to losing players and keeps high volume players happy. What a terrible idea……
Rakeback is probably the only thing keeping many US players alive now to generate revenue for everyone, including themselves. So instead of 30% of $0 affiliates make 5-10% of $xxx-$xxxx.
I know there are many on this board against rakeback. IMO it falls under penny wise, pound foolish. Like it or not it is here to stay.
