Ok, I have found out more about this, and it looks like a decent solution to me.
This is what was communicated to me:
One test introduction has been successfully completed and we have established that we can effectively trace the players affiliate code to ensure the affiliate will receive payment due to them for bringing the player.
We have negotiated a CPA deal for these players and have always honored any arrangement that we have had with affiliates; to this end we intend to pay affiliates their revenue share of the CPA percentage received for any players tagged with their affiliate code.
That way, instead of simply disappearing into the blue yonder, our US players are being monetized in the best possible manner, and not all monies are lost.
Under the circumstances this looks to be a good solution. Kiwi et al have always been decent to affiliates and going through the trouble of tracking these CPA players and paying out affiliate shares is a nice good faith effort.
Most other Playtechs just “disappeared” our players.
Thank you Kiwi.
