It is my job as a moderator to edit posts at the request of authors.
I try to discourage it, and we don’t delete.
If you want to egg things on, I will move the thread to freeforall and out of the professional section and you guys can have yourselves a nice flame time.
We do not flame in the professional section.
This erroneous account closure (and probably some to follow) stems from these speculations about what may happen. Someone mistook a “what if” for a “definitely so”. We have to be careful not to do that, because a lot of affiliates have to base decisions on what they see here.
What is brewing, from what I can ascertain, is that the licencing jurisdictions for the casinos are in the process of making decisions about what they want to require from their licencees and lots of ifs, whens and buts are being thrown around and discussed.
I believe that most of these jurisdictions will make announcements next week.
Then we will know what the casinos are up against, but still not how they will cope. See the article http://in.today.reuters.com/News/newsArticle.aspx?type=technologyNews&storyID=2006-10-12T191629Z_01_NOOTR_RTRJONC_0_India-272022-1.xml , which I posted elsewhere, for more information too.
Nothing is said and done. The casinos obviously want to preserve their revenues. We are seeing places like casino coins and VIP seperating from the publicly held parent company in order to continue.
We will see casinos moving and leaving current licencing jurisdictions.
We will see casinos switching software in order to come back.
Everything is in flux.
