My thought is that we don’t need the second link. If they are being reported they should be reported both to the search engine, and to the affiliate program. When you click submit — that’s it. So really we don’t even need the links that pop up when you click the checkbox.

We need checkboxes next to every listing so we can report more than one site at a time but only do the work once. So up top next to “Spam Already Reported” text we need a “REPORT URL(S)” link. When this is clicked the pop up is activated. When you hit submit after filling out the form, the report is filed for all domains checked, and emails sent to affiliate programs for all domains checked.

The pop-up box should have some additional sections for information that will be heading to the affiliate program. [x] site scraper , [x] copyright infrigment* etc… as well as a text area for an optional hand written note to the affiliate program.

The email to affiliate programs should be template driven — like this:

Dear Casinopays,

The following site 432.ququq.info was listed on the google search engine on 12/12/2006 on a search for the term(s) casino directory, you can see the results here: url to serp and was found to be using the following unethical techniques to achieve its ranking: cloaking, page does not match description, site scraping, etc.

The affiliate id being used is blackhawk.

This report has been logged in our database. Please remove the offending affiliate or if the offending affiliate wishes to open a case please email us at: [email protected]

Additional note can go here if it was entered

Sincerely Abuse Crew at CAP (or whatever)

We need a preview button that shows you a list of the programs that are getting the email – and a copy of the email being sent. This will also allow us to make sure our spider is harvesting all the affiliate programs listed on the site properly and our email to the program makes sense.

It might be nice to have some data listed in the SERPs next to sites that have already been reported:

Date reported: 12/12/1999
Affiliate programs notified: Casino Partners, Casino Pays
Re-run spider checker

The re-run spider link would go back to the site and make sure no new programs have been inserted, and if so it would tell you and then send the original email to the new program and finally list the new program in the notified list when complete.

I’m sure that we can keep making the program better and better as time goes on. I’ll stop here.

It might be a good idea to try to get the main features in first and then add more search engines in later after we have all the features running flawlessly. Then in later versions add in MSN and the other search engines….
