Would everyone be terribly upset if I closed this thread?
I think we have discussed the Las Vegas event at length and arrived at a point where little more can be added that is going to benefit anyone.
I am personally disappointed that the US Government made people feel uncomfortable about traveling within our borders. Had that climate not been brought about by recent arrests then none of this turmoil would have occured. Instead we all would have had a great time in Las Vegas and would now be recuperating from all the parties, drinking and fiscal damage caused by the slot machines instead of having the discussions that are going on.
Its a damned shame that because of that climate of fear we are all going to be inconvenienced when traveling to future industry events. But those are the cards we have been dealt by Bush and Company.
Ultimately this is all water under the bridge. We can only look forward to what lies ahead and plan things accordingly. We cant fix the past.
Yes, I am aware that there are numerous other issues that came up during the course of all this, and I dont have a problem discussing those, but I dont see much changing and I hate to see us wasting mental energies on negative pursuits. Whats been said has been said.
If you guys dont object I will close the thread and we can move on to new things. Like I said if you want to discuss future events thats cool we can open new threads that are geared towards that topic.
