Yes I beleive that point has been made repeatedly.:
Will “poor” people :
– stump up for a good PC ?
– pay monthly broadband fees ?
– have access to credit cards and bank accounts ?
If you can do that – then you’re not poor in my book and actaully have demonstrated that you probably have disposible income to use for entertainment.
Consider :
– Watching PAy TV,
– Buying a magazine,
– Going to the movies,
– Renting a DVD,
– Or playing in a online poker room.
All valid entertainment choices in my book – and all costing about the same – and available to peole with access to spare cash.
Or will the “poor” simply stroll down to their local bar and play the “pokies” and slot machines?
Here in New Zealand most pubs and taverns have a “gaming room” which is packed full of 20-30 coin operated slots and video poker machines which attractive sounds and lights.
That is where the POOR go to get their gambing fix at 20c a time.
Not online casinos and poker rooms.
