Personally, i believe SEO is way out of proportion. I feel that it is given more weight than actual content and that will not work.

Though I’m not the SEO expert I claimed to be at the poll, but I have plenty of experience in this tricky field, and I can honestly say that in businesses less competitive than gambling it works like a charm. Casino SEO is a different story altogether.

In a perfect world SEO features shouldn’t take precedence over actual content but be it – otherwise it’s just spam with a new title. The problem is, however, that search engines (especially Google, but also Yahoo) which in fact dictate the unwritten rules of SEO, can’t abide by the standards they presume to set and often reward spammers; although only for a short period, but long enough to rake nice profits.

Yahoo, for example, evaporated for over 10 months a website that was completely legit, for no apparent reason while rogue sites that were slapped together in eight and half minutes of content-thieving  have been starring back at me from the search results as innocent as angels. The bottom line is, search engines are not pulling their weight to keep lawful SEO strategies from deteriorating and trashing the web.

I’m against spam, period. But search engines need to wake up before all of us are tired of playing nice, and the internet will become just one big junk mail folder.
