can’t remember from the times i used to use them 
Try out fruityloops for techno or anyother musik, also check out
propellerheads reason for any type of music. Actually i can’t shout
out for any software that is ment for techno since i guess there aint one.
You should forget about ejays though.
And when you get out of the “sandbox”, you might want to just do
everything with cubase etc.
Creating music is easy after you get the basics, you dont need to know
any notes to create professional sounding music. All you need is time!
