You do yourself a dis-service by continuing to “take potshots” at people at the same time that you’re trying to deal with a bigger issue. (even if you have been shot at yourself)

Let the personal asides go – be bigger than that – and you’d find that you’d get better traction on the thing that you REALLY want to sort out.

If you REALLY you need the last word … then say it out loud don’t type it …
You’ll feel better and won’t distract us ..
:p

ONTO THE MAIN ISSUE

Having read this through (ignoring the slanging) and just looking at the bingo malfunction / payout issue … here my two cents on the porblems and the response.

1) The “malfunction” seemed to occur for weeks (months?).

QUESTIONS
a) When was the problem noticed?
b) When was the game suspended?
c) Why was it NOT tested correctly before being released to the public?

This basically seems to a case of ignorance, incompetance or ineptitude in releasing an untested game in to the market.

2) It only occured at Vic’s Bingo .

QUESTIONS
a) Why did only Vic’s bingo have an upgrade to licensed software?
b) Is there an auditable paper trail of update – problem identification and fix.
c) is there documentation spelling out an error in the RNG (or somesuch)

Even so – even if there is – it’s still an error on the software providers part – and someone should be covered by professional liability insurance …

or … if not ….

3) Not all Keno game / all customers were affected by this error.

QUESTIONS :

How do you tell what was a legitimate win – and a legitimate loss?
Are you refunding all Keno losses back to all players for the same period ?

And most importantly … What is the total amount in dispute?

While any amount is significant to players – and should be collected – are RG in danger of holding onto this dispute that is significantly damaging to their reputation?

How much money do RG spend on advertising?

4) It’s not over until everyone is satisfied.

This is a key point Scott.
Dictatorships went out with Julius Caesar.
Everyone needs goodwill – and there should be a feeling of a resolution.

Saying that you’re not going to talk about it any more – well ..
I think that we should find a better way that suits everyone.
(or nearly everyone – because there will always be one plonker somewhere)

A SUGGESTION
Is it really worth the casino fighting over?

Someone’s goofed up. And let a poor program onto the market.
You’ve now got winners who THINK they’ve been cheated out of cash.
That can NEVER be good – even if you’re right …

Without knowing the totals it seems to me that this dispute will cause a whispering campaign that could dwarf any goodwill gained by advertising or affiliate promotion …

So what are we talking about? 5K, 10K .. 100K ??

If you’re arguing about $10,000 or so …
Just pay it out !!!
:bouncer:

By simply paying out (while not acknowledging any liability of course) RG and the software provider can turn a PR nightmare into a PR plaudit.

Is there a simple solution ?
We’re watching ….
