I thought the colors were nice.
Perhaps you need to test it with both browsers? I use Firefox as my main browser and based on my sites statistics so is about 40% of my visitors and things are not displayed right in it.
At least one of the links at the top didn’t work and I’m not sure about the scrolling marque …
But I think concept is nice just need more structure and testing.
