My concern with Google sitemaps are how often se spammers use them…to me it sorta seems like something only someone desperate to get indexed would use.
I dunno this for a fact of course, but I’d be worried this throws up a red flag to Google when people do it for sites in certain very competitive markets like ours.
I’ve never had a problem getting spidered completely without using them, so…
