Go Bodog!

The more public exposure any gaming properties can get, the better for all of us.

Agreed.

What surprises me about this, though, is that the advertising campaign will center around Bodog.com, not Bodog.net. Party Poker and Absolute Poker have been getting around potential problems with the DOJ by advertising the .net version of their sites (not the .com version). The .net versions have disclaimers that say “this is not a gambling site” or something to that effect. On the .net sites, you learn how to play poker for free, and no money changes hands.

This should be interesting, for sure. Calvin Ayre (the CEO of Bodog) is either very confident in what he’s about to do, or he’s about to make a huge mistake. Fitting, isn’t it, that the CEO of a gambling website is putting so much on the line with this advertising campaign. GC Money should set up something where the rest of us can place bets on the outcome. HAH! I digress….
