I agree with all of you guys on the rakeback issue. Personally I have never done it because I simply don’t want to manange it. I think the unfair advantage comes to play when honest affiliates like myself and others wouldn’t think about doing it in fear of losing our affiliate status and residual incomes. Yet the ones doing it continue to do it because no one is stopping them.
Kudos to PartyPoker if their actually going to stop this practice. I think only time will tell and the true barometer if everyone is on a level playing field will be when PSO is no longer offering rakeback and only the free $50. Likewise when all the banners and ads disappear on places like 2+2.
It is very easy to tell non-producers that they cannot offer rakeback, but Party will definately be flexing some muscle when they tell their big hitters who are generating six figure MGR’s every month that they can no longer participate in this practice. Needless to say it should be interesting to see how this affects the big rake back sites.
