Generally it seems VERY often when I’m playing and the reels spin for longer than say…30 seconds, I almost always come up a loser on that particular spin.

I agree.

I’d very much like to offer an explanation such as I stated earlier, that we lose more often than win and thus when facing the longer spins; its to be expected to not win; and therefore we should expect to be conditioned to think this whenever the longer spins appear.

but that just doesn’t cut it.

There should be some wins amongst the many losses, but that to my experience isn’t the case.

Upon having made this conclusion, I have of course, paid much closer attention to when I get the long spins; and I can say that I’ve yet to experience any kind of big win, and I can only remember one time I had a small win.

the thought crossed my mind that there might be a fail-safe that just always gives a loser when the spins are longer, but it is made up for down the line.

but that would go against the randomness that is suppose to be involved in the results.
