listen to this guy above me folks! His wisdom is great.

As some of the older ones here know; I’ve been a bitcher about weeding your gardens for a long time now.

By leaving up links to casinos that don’t produce, or that are so obviously stinking it up with their constant winners and constant low profits that need I put a label on them (and for me; that stinker is Focal Point, Goodness I’d like just a tenth of the traffic back I wasted there; though I know there a couple of folks that do ok with them, for the majority I have talked with; its much the same as my experience)

that we are “enabling” these obvious parasites to continue to survive (and I imagine quite effortlessly since they aren’t paying out anything substantial), plus they are going to feed on all the newbies to fall victim to their incompetent promises / constant winning players etc.

My personal method is that when I have a program reach a point I must act: I first move them to a back page which lists a wide variety of casinos; but is never in the front lights; so to speak.

Now after doing that; while keeping in mind that by putting them back there they will be recieving much less traffic so I don’t have to expect them to perform immediately; but say after about 4 or 5 months if they’ve still not produced anything and yet my stats show they’ve had ample oppurtunity; I pull them completely.

I very much beleive that though it may not be true for all surfers, that there is a large enough percentage of them that arrive ready to grab a casino and get gambling; and following that line of thinking; then it is easy to assume that they will sign up at whatever casinos I am offering them.

So why risk offering them casinos that have proven to be unworthy of your resources?

Those people out of that traffic that are really looking for variety are going to be the types to dig further into your site anyway; so as I see it; there’s little downside to my method.

Not too mention something that few gambling webmasters ever consider; but is well-known in the adult industry.

You can serve too much and end up confusing the surfer.

its true, think about the last time you went to sign up for a domain name or hosting, and left the site because it was too confusing / or too much to pick from in options etc; to warrant your wasting your time wading thru the mess when all you really wanted was to sign up a new domain name. (godaddy comes to mind; as I once used it quite often, now there’s too much BS to wade thru to bother using them).

I realize that is not a great example to make my point; but hopefully it will suffice.

The bottom line is; is if they aren’t proftable; why keep them around?

As to Dom’s statement about keeping them up cause she liked them;

This is business. If you want a nice partner that doesn’t ever make you money; hell send your traffic to me. I’ll write a thank you note to you everyday.

With all the nearly countless shakedowns, rip-offs, scumware etc going on nowdays, I don’t see how one could survive if they don’t start cracking down on the parasites.
