I believe we did a post about four months ago regarding affiliate fraud which I tried searching for but could not find it. It was in the Bad Affiliates section.
At the end of the day affiliate programs have the right to defend themselves from fraudulent affiliates as this costs the programs serious money and in some cases it causes casinos to remove very good affiliate programs since they feel they are loosing money from having a program.
Affiliates are here to work with the program, and not to screw the programs. Naming and shaming affiliates who go out the way to con programs is a courageous thing to do and I congratulate and support Greg in doing this.
One very important thing to note is that when affiliates bitch about casinos and make allegations, this can also be counted as libel and we must not forget this.
One of the affiliates in question caused a lot of grief to many affiliate managers, and the way she conned many programs out of large sums was through CPA programs (basically credited her friend to signup with a $5 deposit and claiming the CPA rate for that signup – THIS IS WRONG!).
The good affiliates which there are many of them should not suffer the consequences of the bad affiliates as these are the affiliates suffering… not just the programs.
