I’m not much of a draw player although I do know the game well. I prefer hold’em by far.
I was just looking to make oh.. maybe $1-$2K profit per month if possible.
That’s a nice chunk in the game of poker. What most people don’t understand is even the best players around will have bad days, weeks or even months. You won’t make over $1000 a month playing anything under $3/$6 or $2/$4 at worst (which isn’t small stakes), unless you’re going to play several hours a day and you have a bankroll to sustain the losses.
Yes you can sit in a $1/$2 game and win $200 but that’s not the norm. It won’t happen often at all. A nice $1/$2 win is less than $100 and you need to discipline yourself when to quit.
