Hi,
Hopefully with the loss of google / overture / findwhat ‘s results many of the partner sites that provided them their gambling traffic – will get smart and jump to a different aff program that IS paying for gambling traffic searches, which in theory should bring up the value of most of the smaller PPCs – those not cheating us on purpose that is.
this remains to be seen but I think in the long run that people are going to start looking someplace else for their results (especially at google) when they type in online casino and get nearly no results returned except for free results.
Now some of you may say so what? But I’ve become all too aware recently of what google has been programming us all to do all along…
I look straight to the paid ads for what I want. *most the time. Because if I am looking for red wagons; the way their current return of results is set up; is I have learned I have a better result by choosing the paid ads than to use the free ones. I mean, if I want a product supplied by a company I expect to be around and back up its 1 yr warranty; I’ll choose the paid ads over the free returned results every time.
What I’ve learned about using google and free search is to expect to be bombarded with popups, redirected to some place I already know about and don’t like, or get a page so far off my desired result that its pop up ads don’t even come close to what I needed.
where as the paid ads don’t have popups; or if they do its only one, and you can bet they’re usually pretty targeted results.
So now if I were to go look up something on google and didn’t get any paid results that suited my needs; I would likely look further before surrendering to their free results.
I didn’t really realize all this until very recently, and I bet its very subtle in many surfer’s minds, but never-the-less it is there. And I think it will begin to show as more of them realize there aren’t any paid ads for our keywords which suit their needs. I think a good piece of them will look somewhere else instead of using the free returned results.
Maybe that’s just wishfull thinking….
