I do very well with yahoo. I bought a listing a couple of years ago and I receive decent traffic from them.
They just will not carry casino banners. Limiting a PPC is one thing, cutting an entire large section out of a search engine is a whole other story. They may cease to charge us $$$ but I very much doubt they will cease to list us.
I receive decent traffic from them in sites that are seo for google, minus the links, with small content.
I receive decent traffic frm them just about everywhere, and my MSN exposure is increasing all the time.
I find these two stable, and I am tired of googles escapades.
The entire scene is changing – and it always will.
I am actually more positive about the future now than ever – politically things are slowly shaping up. This is a fallout from previous policies, but I think it quite possible that the pressure put on the US by the world court and Great Britain may really influence things. More and more congressmen are looking at Britain and regulation as an example of how to handle this.
I agree with the Professor and the Captain that we will likely see google adwords go the same route. Already casino related sites are excempt from google contextual ads.
I would like to see a good PPC start up in a country other than the US. Why are so many things US based? Why aren’t others more enterprising? It would be a lot harder for the US to control businesses located elsewhere.
