Those who know me will realise this is my first post on the ‘GPWA situation’ and will probably be my last, but some of the comments were getting personal to the members and not just the leadership.
No offense meant, Jarvi. I apologize for my sweeping statement. I was looking at a very impressive list of CAP members. In no way did I mean to make a statement that all encompassing.
I never had a problem with GPWA nor do I now. I have a problem with only one person, and even that has become quite irrelevant.
I agree, one has to be in the room to know it is empty. That room is pretty empty most all the time. Although flames still draw members.
In any case, it’s all water under the bridge. The important thing is that we as professionals find the information and support we need, wherever that may be. And surely that is the case – of all types of affiliates, the ones in the gaming industry are the most interconnected and the most informed. The spirit of sharing and of community has survived through all sorts of upheavals – and that speaks well for all of us.
