This could be an interesting project.
The only way I would consider doing it is if I could hire an employee to take care of all the crap. I think if they worked at it 4 – 5 hours a day it would be enough time for them to take care of everything.
I could probably hire someone here for 7 bucks canadian an hour (around 5usd). The only problem is I would probably spend more time overviewing the project then i want to. But I know a lot of people who would be happy with that wage as it’s exactly what they earn now but they can avoid leaving the comfort of thier home. They wouldn’t have to worry about babysitting and they could have tax write offs that they dont currently have.
Only problem is I would have to make sure that the project is viable and worthwhile before taking the time of hiring someone. The training would also take more time.
I also dont know if webmasters are truly ready for another organization.
But in the end, if I could make $1000 profit for doing nothing but paying someone once a month I would be happy to do so. And yes $1000 isn’t much even for me, but it would cover 2 vacations a year. The problem is I dont really see a demand for this organization. There are some exceptions such as the Professor but most webmasters are not willing to divulge trade secrets.
I also dont know if there’s room for a third message board, between this and the GPWA I think most webmasters are happy.
