Perhaps its because the user has to sign up before they can see the main content of the website. Given the attitudes alot of editors at DMOZ have…that would be my guess.
Also… DMOZ frowns heavily on Casino sites…especially affilate sites…despite what anyone says.

I’m a bit new to the affilate game…however..I have done some research into the DMOZ issue. The concensus I have found is that if you have a commercial site..or an affilate site…don’t even bother.
