Professor you know who they are, and who they are in the business. So guess it is up to you.. You could always ask them if they plan on posting or are they just wanting to keep up on things.
But not all webmasters will post in public forums, this does not mean they wont post in private forums. As I am sure you know, I rarely post in public forums..
