actually a week or so into this i’m happy with 3dStats.
the hosting companies have stats packages, but the spiders (linksmanager/se’s) were able to trip the counters and it threw everything way out of whack. plus, this stats package tracks more info (useful info, not just fluff).
what i was worried about was the spiders would trip these counters too, and i wouldn’t be getting ahead at all. seems like eveything is ok.
i gotta say, every time there’s a google puke, i have extra time to do things like this (since i’m not seo’ing), i get a better understanding of what’s really going on with my sites. heh, a painful way to become a better webmaster.
