There is an old Chinese proverb…
“Keep your friends close, keep your enemies even closer!”
It is I who agreed to have Gator on the panel at AffCon.
… and I can hardly be accused of befriending the predators.
On the contrary, it’s an abhorrent practice and we’ve been
fighting it vigorously. In fact, http://iAfma.org was set
up mostly to fight predatory advertising.
The more astute amongst us will realize that getting
Gator to tell us more of their operation, then engaging
them in debate, is a better way to go …. than running
away and sulking that a big bully is taking your candy
Stand up and fight. Seize this opportunity to face up
to the predators like Gator and make positive moves
to combat it. By staying away you leave the floor
to the enemy and they will win by default.
Boycotting the casinos is not the solution. Education
is. Come to the debate and discuss the situation. By
doing so you are helping the casinos see the light
and boot out the predators. If you are not there to
present your side of the story to the casinos, they
will not know any different and the predators win again.
Cheers,
Herby
