InactiveCertainly an interesting development.
The markets are seeing it as positive – shares of some related public companies got a boost like Caesars and Boyd Gaming – but I’m not so sure that these land based properties will be the ones to benefit. Indeed their current model is under threat now.
Bigger boosts for both 888 Holdings and Bwin who are the respective online partners for those landbased casinos. Of course the bad news is that both of these online companies have a shocking reputation with affiliates for constantly reducing affiliate terms and conditions.
Is this a good development for independent affiliates? I am not so sure.

Inactiveall it will take is one ad on the superbowl to reach 100+ million global. Could be the perfect venue to advertise online gambling.
I think there will still be some smaller programs that will still offer rev share.

InactiveThis will mostly affect affiliates whose main focus is on the U.S market.

shanepaul126MemberNevada already had legal online sports betting within the state. With just 4 million people the reason that sports betting had enough liquidity is that bookies across the country call in their bets to people in Nevada who have online accounts. I just can’t see poker/bingo/casino games making that much money (even with all of the gambling addicts in the state).
This only becomes big if Nevada can make a deal with California to allow betting across state lines. That is the part of the legislation that can change things. If you think it will grow then this is the time to move to Nevada and start the Affiliate License process.
