I don’t disagree with you but i don’t understand how you got to this almost double conclusion. When i type in these exact terms using the Google key word tool in Google Adwords it gives me the same results:
“casino games online” or “online casino games”
Low competition
110,000 Global Monthly
110,000 Local Monthly
What key word tool do you use that shows a different response? Anybody else want to jump in on this. I think I am missing a very basic item here but just don’t see it.

What are your thoughts Dom, do you think Google gives these two terms the same amount of results and groups the two terms as one? If not which do you think would be the better term to rank for and why?
This is a good healthy topic for this board, wish more would join in.

I used to use wordtracker, which is a very useful tool. But with two years of absence I let the subscription slide.
But these things seem to change constantly. Literally from day to day.
Since they mean the same thing, I would use both.
Also, it depends on what google thinks in general of your site. If google likes you well, it will give you ranking for every word combination anyway.
I am not sure about new sites…

Google now has options which influence the results it presents to users. So depending if a user has these set to the default values (set by Google) or they have changed these, you’ll get different search results, which will also include competitive figures too.
In addition, there is location factor of where the search is being conducted from. Doing a search for say “online casinos” in google.com when based in the USA, will return different results if your based in Australian, or if you use google.com.au
To add further confusion, searching for say “online casinos” on google.com.au, where one owns a .au TLD; which Google recognizes it’s targeting Australian traffic, and is hosted in Australia, can return results from non AU TLD’s which neither target nor are hosted in Australia. Though these serps tend to be a product of the above Google search options.
Sites that seem to circumnavigate these results are those with substantial age (5+ years), and authoritative value.
However, you’ll also find sites which have held high rankings in mainstream niches are being hacked a lot these days and iframes injected with casino site URL’s. These are ranking very high too. Least until Google figures out what’s going on. But these hackers, hack literally 1000’s of sites for this purpose so losing a few here, well you get the idea.
If you can make it through this field of land mines, my suggestion is to aim for less competitive, long tail search terms. These seems less affected and or influenced by the above.
Yes Dave, i have had some board members check from several locations an have found my site listrd on page three from the UK, page two from Israel and page one from the US. This was checking a top key wotd all within a few minutes time.
Anybody else want to chime in, SEO is such a big part of what we do and still not many thoughts on what term do u think google would offer the most results. Let’s keep it simple, google USA which of these terms is better. We use to have so many SEO Gurus with lots of varied opinions in the past?

If your asking which of these terms are better:
“online casino games” or “casino games online”, I recommend using both.
But I’d also mix it up with say, “internet casino games”, “web casino games”, etc etc. However don’t keyword stuff. Your content needs to look natural and easy to read. Short well defined sentences are also good too.
