dont worry about pagerank.. do things correctly and stop looking at PR is the best advice.
I second what allfreechips said. PR really doen’t mean much. Also if you have a new site you may already have page rank, it just has not been updated. PR is for link sellers. If you want good page rank, traffic and affiliate income write great content.
If you just concentrate on the quality of your site, serps, all the stuff that matters etc then page rank will follow naturally
Nope, not at all.
You will see low pr sites outrank high pr sites all the time.
I completely ignore the PR of my sites it may be useful as a tool when buying links from sites but the quality of the site i.e. content, relevance etc is far far more important than PR.@deanimus 239992 wrote:

but secondly when i look at facebook hi pr ranking if you get a pr rank of 8 or 9
can’t say that wont help you in search rankings
pr9 you cannot say will not rank you in google
medium p3 to 4 half way, 6 to 10 is the king

i’m only new but i thought alexa rankings was importantng but with all my advertising my alexa rank is 368 k,
So turning to page rank now, still zero , ( but when page rank hits up ) will be good
Good incoming links to good content help your ranking, PR is just a reflection of that. PR in its self won’t help your ranking. So you will see many sites with good links and content have high page rank. With that said, you can also find sites with higher page rank with bad content and spammy links. These sites don’t rank well (when they do it doesn’t last), this is even more true since the last update. We may both be saying the same thing just in a different way.
yeah you get pr when you do things right, you dont get rankings from PR..

But there is so many people with good content, I assumed google judged it by page rank after that and Alexa, Then Its just a luck of the draw then ?
I Will still try and get my page rank up, just incase it helps, I’ll just have to wait and see after 6 months how it goes.
I hope i get high in search results would be great lol

I have noticed google hasn’t even counted alot of my backlinks i’ve got yet, wish google would improve that with one of these updates.

I assumed both combined gave you good results , guess i was wrong. Just top sites seem to have both. as I said maybe its just luck of draw what google does in the end.
Wish my backlinks would show up quicker on webmaster tools
Content, structure, proper use of H1-H4 tags, title, description, links, anchor text, keyword density, link diversity, visitor time spent, page per visit, page speed
All these are way more importnat than PR, alexa or whatever else outside metering number.
