I mean i think its an interesting think to think about it, when the internet speed becomes so quick and so good . what are these tv companies going to do?. in theory the profit will be made in streaming, and also new movies

tv channel that certain channel will become obsolete

once the net becomes so quick – which one day it will, its all internet

maybe it will end all in our favour, maybe it will end up affiliates promoting tv channels

Super interesting insights casinodude! Just curious… what brought this thought on? Pretty deep thinking for the future I must say…

But you do have a point.. especially in the online marketing world, it is essential to be forward thinking and always prepared for what will evolve and be the “next big thing”!

the future for tv is painted dots on a wall. We already have internet tv in a way, its video on demand. tv shows uploaded to a server. Its a closed network though, in that only fios/cable subscribers can use it.

It’s all kind of a mishmash now.

My TV, internet and phone all come through one cable now. The device that receives and displays them are just different – for now.

Then you have ‘over the air commercial TV signals’ and wireless phones/ipads.

Is there an ‘app’ for receiving local TV over the air or is it presented on the internet.

Yer pretty deep thinking I guess I get like that lol, but in logic the only future would be that – the actual brand of tv channels will drop ect cbs and other channels. Because in the future the high end video camera’s would be so cheap aswill computers to make your basic tv show (and i’m talking better than your average on youtube). And the internet atm is still on demand and still not quite fast enough to compete with a digital satellite signal.

My thoughts and reasons for thinking it is just more advertising opportunities in the future. Maybe all these gambling online tv channels will pop up which would be kewl.
