jncnetMemberI had a feeling Google+ wouldn’t do too well, especially with Facebook around.
Its probably still worthwhile to invest time with Google+ for ranking purposes. I’m sure it has some value as a ranking factor.

bosshoggsMemberNot feeling Google+… Who knows, maybe Google+ needs to have more time to establish itself. Personally, I feel like it’s a little confusing. And I’m not too sure how the Google+ pages will compare with Facebook pages. Need to evaluate things more before deciding to dedicate time to building it up.
Just curious, anyone seeing a lot of benefit to Google+ for their affiliate business? Maybe I’m just missing something…

InactiveAs much as people complain about facebook – we still keep using it, because all our friends are there and using it.
If more of my friends were on Google + .. I would use it more often.

Inactive9. Gambling
Do not distribute content that facilitates online gambling, including online casinos, sports betting, or lotteries.
So, does this mean we cannot share gambling related content even
from the personal profile wall(not fan page) as well ?January 31, 2012 at 2:12 am #820933

NETLineMemberI am not using google+ yet either. Just feels like a waste of time since everyone is on facebook. Who needs another social network? It feels like the only people that will be using google+ are the affiliates, trying to push their product/sites. The rest will stick to facebook. I mean, most facebook profiles have tones of pictures and friends. Why would anyone want to create/copy to google? I am not feeling it.

Based on the quoted terms, I would guess you have just been lucky so far in not getting caught, as soon as they see the page it will likely be deleted.

I know there are lots of gambling related pages out there, not sure how well they are doing generating traffic, but apparently they are all breaking the rules.

I wouldn’t ignore google+ entirely. Yes, from a marketing stand point on the pages and such perhaps it doesn’t make sense since facebook and twitter is out there. But google+ is beginning to influence search results, as I’m sure you’ve noticed in some of google’s recent updates.
I think it is still worthwhile to have a +1 button on your content pages, as google is now taking user behavior and social interactions into account when ranking pages. Only question is, will the people who +1 your content get banned? That’s what I’m not sure about

Like they said above. It looks like it applies to your google plus account to. But it doesn’t say they will close it, they can do whatever they like.
