InactiveHey Jordan,
Welcome to CAP. :hattip:
First off, I really like your brand name, so good work there. I am also a huge believer in legit testimonials from actual users. You could use our site as an example of one that is driven by this – we have hundreds of real reviews on operators by legitimate fellow affiliates here: Affiliate Programs – Casino, Poker, Sportsbook, & Bingo Affiliate Directory. In order to pull this off successfully, you must first build up a community that trusts the content you publish.
Secondly, I visited your site. I see it’s basically a WordPress blog at the moment. I think you’ll need to flesh out the sitemap a bit more if you want to become a true testimonial site in your vertical. The homepage could also use some work as it’s hard to see that you actually have real testimonials on the site somewhere. I haven’t personally seen a site which aggregates user feedback in the manner which you’ve done from other forums. It could work, but I suppose you *might* face some unease from the forum owners for using their threads. Either way – I think you want to promote users to post testimonials of the books you promote on your own site as well to really become an authority.
BTW, you might want to fix your signature as your domain is mistyped there.
Good luck.

Stephen_AMemberWarren,
Thanks for the response.
Eventually I would like to have reviews from my very own followers/readers but that will take some time to grow. I could set an option for them to post their own feedback right away though as it wouldn’t take much time to set up. The goal is to get a small chunk of the typical sportsbookreview.com user as I see it being a fairly large market so becoming an authority is on the mind.
As for the way I choose to do the testimonials I can see it coming back to bite me but anyone doing a google search can find the same information, it’s made available to the public. I love seeing visual evidence of things and I believe posting screenshots of testimonials is more credible than just having text on the site but yes, this could upset the forum owners if they were to catch wind. What is there basis? Is the information and discussion on a forum private? Should I ask permission before hand?
I need a little clarification (as my background is limited with html or any coding hence the wordpress site) what do you mean by this;
I think you’ll need to flesh out the sitemap a bit more if you want to become a true testimonial site in your vertical.
One last question, do you think I’ll have any issues from affiliate sites to get approved based on having negative feedback on their book posted?
Thanks Warren!August 24, 2011 at 6:10 am #818201Anonymous
InactiveFleshing out the sitemap means creating more depth on the site. Essentially, offer your users more value around the testimonial concept. Who do they contact if there is a problem with someone you promote? I really like Online Casino Guides | Online Casino Reviews | AskGamblers.com as an example here.
I don’t think programs will deny you if you have negative reviews about them at all.

Stephen_AMemberWarren,
Providing value for customers is also something I really believe in. One of the big dog sportsbook review sites handles any customer service concerns for it`s customers. I could do the same as you mention.
I`m really looking at attracting the recreational bettor event though they may not deposit as much, I think I can provide more value for them. Providing betting tips, an introduction to sports betting and tutorial videos on each of the sites I will profile are just a few ideas.
Thanks for the link and suggestions!
