    Hey Kano,

Your steps sound pretty good :) But I do it a little bit differently.

My first step is to find and secure a good domain name. You can build a site first if you like, but I think its better to secure a good domain name before building a site. Since there are hardly any names left, its best to buy one as quickly as possible :)

Then I work on the site and join affiliate programs at the same time. After the site is completed, I then find hosting for the website. Then I start advertising the website and building links to it. After that, its just a matter of maintaining the website, and building links to it as well.

I don’t know anything about your last questions relating to certification, but hope my post has helped you a little bit at least :) Good luck.

    Thank you Michaela26

The free eBooks on CAP are really good point to start. I was trying to understand the process of becoming certified portal by eCogra or GPWA, but I guess I have to contact them for more info.

    cheers and best of luck

Your steps are sound ones, I would do some of them in a different order. As was suggested, get your domain name first.

I would also subscribe to some print magazines such as: iGB Affiliate, egambling review and any others you can find. Join some sites like eCobra that will lend some credibility to you and your website if you become a member. Join as many gambling fourms as you can and keep up with sites like CAP that will keep you informed.

    Oh yea, keep asking questions!

eCogra has criteria which can be found here: eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance – Reputable Portals Seal – Criteria

    The basic rules are:
    Six Months in Business
    No Black Hat SEO
    No Spamming / Unethical Activities
    Don’t promote known “Rogue Operations”

You can also apply for a CAP Affiliate Portal Seal here: CAP Trusted Affiliate Portals, Websites, Directories & Blogs

    Hope this helps.
