Patty had been turned down for a transplant, and had been in the hospital for a very long time before she asked to have the respirator turned off.
She passed peacefully.

And Melissa is working on Patty’s.
The Leonard family and the Fabiano family were close friends, and Alan the Captain, Lou the Professor, Patty Leonard, Jessica Leonard and also Ted Loh aka Spearmaster are all well known, have met most who attend conferences and have made huge contributions to our industry and all passed away a short time from each other.
In my mind I can see them all sitting together, sharing some Captain Morgan and laughing and having a great time. May they rest in peace together.
My heart goes out to Melissa who has lost so many loved ones in such a short time. May she be strong and carry on the legacy left by her wonderful family.
very sad to hear. I never knew patty, but I do remember speaking to the Captain via phone and skype, and I’ll never forget the awesome music videos and songs he used to post in the community. I wish that they both rest in peace and I hope Melissa will be alright.
What a very sad family tragedy it really makes you put life in perspective! My thoughts go out to the family.
Sorry to hear about this. I met Patty, Allan, and even Jessica (their daughter who passed away) several times. This was a family with a huge heart, and cared for everyone around them.
I will miss our good times together.

Yep, Captain used to bring the entire family to conferences – Vegas, South Beach – and I remember when Jessica won the trip to England by Jackpot Joy.
It’s hard to believe all but Melissa are gone…
