yuhongMemberThank you for this information! It is always good to flush out anyone who practices “cross promotion” as early as possible. The sooner that we find out, the quicker we are to resolve the problem and hopefully bring this unfair practice to a halt.

abbykungMemberThanks for the great article. Cross promoting has to be one of the lowest and worst acts of deception an affiliate program can pull. If I found out a casino brand is doing this, I will post it on the forums ASAP. Good thing for forums like this one, it helps keep the casino affiliate programs under check

mattheratMemberHey Dom, great article. The only thing you left out was naming the offending operator. I
‘m pretty sure that I know who it is, but other affiliates may not know. Cross marketing without affiliate tags is the same as theft IMO.Cheers!

chazMemberIsn’t it against ToS in most affiliates to have yourself, friends or relatives signed up through your affiliate program? I’ve read the terms on some of the big bookmakers and they indeed have that clause in their terms.
If you actually catch them this way, can’t they just close your account?

misswiggMemberThere are rules in some aff programs against signing up under your own links/bonuses per household/IP address etc but as far as I am aware (correct me if I am wrong anyone) there are no rules against having players that you know, this wouldn’t make sense as many affiliates ‘know’ their players
