InactivePlaytech has been making huge inroads development and business wise for the past 3 years, and more so in the last 2 years.
I think they are gearing themselves up for the US market when it opens up.

InactiveNot sure how exactly this would come off. This is what I posted on my wall on facebook:
This is intreresting on so many levels. Firstly Microgaming, won’t be too thrilled seeing their largest client merging with their biggest competitor.
Then there is the small fact of William Hill Online and Playtech having a financial tie in….
I would be surprised if there is much mileage in this story. But, if there is, how on earth will this come about?

Victor Chandler as well I think? One thing that Playtech provides over MGS is a strong poker network, and I believe they have launched a sportsbook as well?

fintanMemberThis story has been all over the UK business news this week — people are definitely taking it seriously, even though it has the feeling of a longshot.
I think the biggest potential problem is that Playtech has so many ties with Ladbrokes competitors, as you guys pointed out.
I wrote a piece about it for the CAP News page: Ladbrokes and Playtech in Potential Merger
