bsmartMemberGidday James,
Mate, you should celebrate! You popped your casino cherry!
It seems pretty daunting at first and yes, four months does seem like a long time to get your first player, but there are probably a few little things you can do to change that.
But to answer your question, the negative accrual thing….OK, some programs will do what they call ‘negative carry-over’ which means that if your players have a big win and you are in the negative, you will carry that into the next month. Some programs however, do NOT have negative carry-over and your negative balance will be zeroed out at the end of the month and you can start from zero again.
If you wanted to fire me a PM with your current site and what niche you are targeting, I would be happy to have a look and offer any tips I can to help you get some more players.
I’ve got quite a few sites in a number of different niches and do a lot of offline promotion too so I can probably help you out.
Best of luck with that minnow turning into a whale, stranger things have happened!

JEI10Membercongrats!
how many clicks/downloads did you have before the first depositing player?

greendaveMemberI promote with affclub, which is a little frustrating as there is no way to monitor clicks or impressions.
My stats basically show me that i have one player signed up and playing with real money.
Yet i dont know how much real money, just that i have negative accurals.
Which could mean that this gambler is winning, noooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Advice please, anyone else start like this.
I have a really tiny minnow player here.
But still, it is a player, never the less

WineGuyMemberI wouldn’t promote a casino program that doesn’t show you impressions or clicks.
There are soooo many good casino affiliate programs.
I would go to some of the reputable members sites here, look at what they promote, and sign up for those programs and try that for a while.August 18, 2010 at 9:04 am #811618
greendaveMemberAs at the moment, i can only see real deposit players and nothing before this, no actions information of anything.
Anyone know of any reputable listings that offer decent revenues and an in depth analysis for impressions, clicks etc.
Thank you
James

TramalosriMemberHi James,
Congrats for getting your first player, usually a sign that google has finally given you some acknowledgement

Most program show decent stats, or at least should do that.
Not sure which site you have, but if you drive European traffic you can check us out. PAF, you can see the last 10 clicks live, from which IP and what media they have used.
You can get player stats, how much each player have won or lost etc.
Good luck going for that second and third and so on player.
Cheers

1221MemberI remember my first sign up like it was yesterday – Way back in 2004. He was a minnow – then BOOM, he became a whale poker player – $1500 a month. (From him alone) Just keep it up! Keep building sites.. (My sites back in 2004 were SUPER LAME compaired to what I have today.. I have partner in Germany to thank for that for the most part) 18 hour days between the two of us for months on end AND lots of reading. tweaking, changing.. Bottom line and my point. I got my whale by luck. but I get loads of sign ups with SEO. Next month we start to hire people in India – Not sure. Partner handle all that.
Stick with it! Work hard.. It takes some major stick-to-it-ness..
My partner is the one that lead me in the right direction!!! What programs to buy, explained how they worked.. but in the end.. I had to figure it out that I HAD TO PUT IN THE TIME! And get a lot more serious about all this.

This is some great advice and words to live by. You have to put in the work, forget about the first player now focus on the next 10! I started in this industry back in 1999 and for the first three years did not see a penny of profit, I was an operator at the time and towards the end had no money to advertise so I hired a 22 year old kid in Jan 2001 who promised me that SEO and PPC was the only way to go.
Within 8 months we had built over 200 Sports Listing sites, were link farming, dominated in every conceivable sports search term, dominated in PPC and when the football season opened in Sept 2001 we were killing it 50-100 new players a day. 2002 Google changed its algorithm and 7995 went into effect, I lost the farm and it was time to change direction.
Keep on keepin on, put in the time, do the research and reach out to Affiliates in your community for suggestions and advice there is still plenty of money to be made in this industry!
