InactiveDefinitely last! We had too many issues with cookie stuffing in the past.
Good move!

InactiveYou know I think this is a question that has such wide viewed opinions on… I am all for the last referrer because I just think it’s fairer.
Just recently I have an affiliate who has sent some brand new players to one of our casinos. A couple of the players have since: 1) Signed up through another affiliate at another casino in our group, or 2) Typed into google the names of some of our other casinos and signed up for them that way.
The affiliate is trying to argue with me that since he referred the players to our group that he should be getting paid for their play at _any_ of our casinos. As many times that I’ve told him that our program works on last referrer, he insists that he should be paid commission (that we have already paid to the affiliate who referred them to the other casinos). So this example is the total opposite of what I would expect. I mean, if we did it by first referrer, it would be very hard for new affiliates to break into the market. At least by last referrer it gives every affiliate an equal chance to refer players to each casino.
I mean, how would you feel if you worked hard as a newer affiliate and every player you referred to a casino was taken from you because another affiliate already referred them to another casino within the group. That would suck lemons IMO.
Cheers

InactiveThis is what Referback does – last referrer, but that player will belong to him/her throughout the group.
There are many ways to look at it. With Referback I will often send players that already belong to someone, but I also know the fresh ones I send will belong to me across all properties. So my player value is a lot bigger, while my player base is smaller.
It evens out the same way either way IMO and I promote either one of these comission structures. In the case of Referback, affiliates voted on this and voted in the current system.
The main issue in tracking remains that the last referrer should be the one to get credit, and most programs do it that way today.

arturs.vitolsMemberIt really does make sense, why give credit to someone who didn’t convert the player. The credit should go to whoever closes the deal.
