Yeah, sounds like their server crashed, and they restored you to a point from their last restore, which hasn’t captured your latest and greatest revision of your site.
I STRONGLY recommend that you find a server source that can maintain 99.99 (or close) % uptime, and one that has redundant servers. Additionally, your service should perform incremental backups on a daily basis, at minimum. For a hosting service to lose the current state of your site is totally ridiculous in today’s server world. Further, the search engines will not react kindly to your site being down this long. The major search engines will punish you for this.
Go with a reputable server service – you get what you pay for !
