I’d say that the jackpot is build up from a small percentage of every bet made by all players. So the jackpot isn’t a loss for the casino and thus no loss for you.

However if this player withdaws like 1,3 million and leaves about 100k in his account to play with… You should be one happy camper, since you should recieve commission on the losses he makes..

One should always be happy with a jackpot winner.. Most of the times it’s good for the player, the affiliate and the casino.. so everybody is happy.. :)

Yes thats what I was told.. very cool! It would sure hurt to have a win of 1,400,000 that put my account in the red.. especially with a negative balance carryover.. it would definitely be time to stop promoting CWC lol..

So Martyn told me that he isnt sure how it works exactly and will need to get back to me, on whether any balance remaining in her account is commissionable if she plays through it. Apparently they had given her $25k immediately from it.. yet I didnt see any deposit, or any change in the “credits”. He said that they will be paying her a fixed amount weekly, which is cool.. but Id sure like to see her playing with some of it.. we all love those whales :D

Thanks Dominique!! Im really happy for her.. I cant wait until all is formalized so that I can have some custom banners made, and put it all over my websites how she came from me :)

It is really nice to see a millionaire made through my website – this was a first for me :D

Im really hoping that Ill see a nice big deposit in my affiliate account since they arent paying her out all at once though..

Very cool hopefully everything works out in your favor. The way most affiliate programs are set up with no negative carryover, one would assume you should get commisions from any losses of the win from here on out, but you just never know.

    That sounds great.

In the bingo world – the affiliate tends to get the short end of the stick. I have had a handful of winners in the 20 to 70k range and the programs now limit the w/d to a certain amount / month so I start each month with -2 to -5k revenue. I guess the programs have figured out a way to get us to help pay for the losses. I honestly have a few programs right now where I’m waiting for some jackpot payouts to finish before the sites become profitable for me again.

    Congrats on that success!

So this is an important matter. I think (I am sure actually) that this progressive jackpot hit should NEVER result in any negative for you as the progressives are already accounted for. This is what I was told, and it makes sense. If it were an in-house jackpot then it’d be a different story but a progressive should not affect you in a negative way. Can only be good for you in case he or she continues to wager with his winnings.

What bugs me though is that things like that are never fully confirmed by the programs. I know because I asked many and got various different responses.

Thanks!! I agree, it is a grey area for sure. For example, although it didnt affect me negativity, I did not see any big deposit into the players account via my affiliate account. I did see that the player spent around $35k last month, and around another $15k this month. Also noticed last month a $100,000 withdraw in stats.

Around mid month this month, I asked Martyn at CWC how everything was going with the player, since I seen 0 (big)deposits, and one 100,000 withdraw (which didnt seem to affect me even though it put the numbers for credits way in the red).. then nothing, since Martyn told me that the player would be paid in weekly installments, I thought it odd I didnt see any more withdraw activity. But when asked last week, I was told that the player had been paid out. Yet last months $35k and this months $10k I can still see the wagering, and still getting credited commissions, but I cant see how much the player has in her account out of the $1.4M, and the withdraw activity stopped at $100k at the end of last month.

So this is definitely something that Im not totally comfortable with.. Im very fortunate to have my player win so big, and Im proud of that since it is so rare.. also feels great to make a millionaire, but when the numbers dont add up and are hidden, I cant help but to wonder if they should be a lot better than $45k commissionable.

    Regards,

    S.

Wowzers! This i bloody huge – So am I right in thinking if the player uses a proportion of this win to play with now you will earn off that play? So if he spanks lots of it you could be laughing!

Yep, it’s good news all around. Some casinos and poker rooms give the webmaster a small chunk of change, when their player hits a jackpot, double check!

    How cool!

Whatever happens… Be glad it won`t put you in the minus.. you could have closed the affiliate account then IMO.
