Why do you link to “statistics” in the main menu? I figured it must have something to do with poker and went to look and found myself on a sports site. At that point you would have lost me, I was looking for poker, not sports.
Make sure people know they are leaving to go to a sports site.
If you are looking for Suggestions.
I would put an ‘ad’ above the fold (discrete ad if you like)
I don’t think anyone would be ‘put off’ if they saw a small adsomewhere on top.
