InactiveI would stick with Bodog if I were you. They have the best retention – no other casino comes even close to the way Bodog keeps players playing (that or not cheating on your stats).

InactiveBodog negative carryover does bother me – a lot. And what happened above – that’s even worse.
But, I have pulled them for large negatives 3 times now, and once out of the hole put them back because they are otherwise a decent program and good to the players.

InactiveMost affiliate programs tied to sports betting have negative carry over. It can work one of two ways, if you make $300 in lets say January, and it is below the minimum payout, and your players win in February and your affiliate share loss of their winnings is a -$200, your balance going into March will either be $100 or it will be $300, but you have a $200 makeup to the affiliate program before your total will increase again.
In the same situation, if your January $300 was above an affiliate programs minimum payout and they paid you, after a -$200 in February, going into March your total would be either a -$200 or you would have to make up $200 to the affiliate program before it increased above $0.
I’m not sure which way Bodog in particular works, but I would imagine they use one of the above ways of negative carry over. I would also agree with Stupid, Bodog has very good retention.April 9, 2009 at 1:39 am #798353Anonymous
InactiveI’m with Dom. I’m in the hole $15k from a March win and now I have no choice but to pull them until the neg is gone. It shouldn’t be so long though. Big winners eventually seem to come back. BoDog has been the difference some months between feast or famine

InactiveSports betting is very different from Casino revenue and they need to do a carry over. We may not like it but if you know the business model it has to be that way. Bodog and VIP and others all have this and they are legitamate and you just need to hope your big winners get greedy, and most do, and will lay it back out in bigger numbers.

InactivePinnacle Sports is way worse.. On top of having negative carryover, they only give you 50% every 2 months, and settle after 6 months (so twice a year).. But, they’re the best sportsbook by far so I keep them

That’s the negative point with sportsbetting market.

InactiveYeah well, they should calculate their casino section differently from their sports then.
There is no need for that in casinos. Most of them don’t have the carryover and do just fine.

InactiveThanks to all of you for your sound advise.
You know, I never thought of this before because none of my books eccept Bodog has you wait till you get 500 to pay you, but now that I think of it, that is the only way a neg prograam can work, they did nothing wrong in dipping into that $300 from Jan to cover the Red 299 9n Feb, I get it now
BODOG, if you read this please allow me to say I am sorry, I see now that is just how the program works and I knew it going in
Thanks again every one.

InactiveI just got a great email from the Bodog affiliate manager. I won’t mention what he said, because it is not my place to do so, but it is very good news:hattip::hattip: and I think most of you are going to be very glad to hear. :woohoo:

nothing wrong? there are so many casino programs out there that do not carry over the negatives, what would you bother with the ones that do… ok i hear you saying that the retention is great etc. but im sure the odds would be the same if you compared it with good casino with ok retention but with no negatives carried over.

zzaaronzzMemberIf I can put a plug in for BetUK…….
We don’t carry over negative balances for our sportsbook OR casino and we also don’t have a minimum balance requirement to receive payments.
We are a young sportsbook not like Bodog, but we do have a lot to give.
Get in touch if you want more details about our affiliates program or check it out at http://www.betuk.com/en/affiliates/index.html. : )

InactiveBodog has just decreased their minimum payout for most payout options.
Bodog is doing its part and helping out our affiliates by
decreasing the minimum commission payout from $500 to $200 for all options (except
Bank Wire which remains at $500). We hope this provides you with a little more cash
flow and helps with the running of your daily business. -
