sukjo1MemberGreat to see all the coverage on Australia. We are starting to rebuild from the bushfires down under.
I’m expecting Network Nine Australia to have more casino and gambling themes on the blockbuster series. There should be an ‘Underbelly’ slot. I might just broker than deal, since I get quoted on many things Network Nine these days.
I’m expecting more news out of Aussie icons Shane Warne and Jeff Fenech with the 888 connection and all.
Online casinos keep heating up down under in Australia. There’s even adverts running on network television. The NRL are powering ahead with a client of mine, Betezy.
I hear this edition of CAP Magazine is a bit of a collectors issue!

Hey gang, the latest edition of CAP TV is now ready to view at http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/captv/february2009/cap-tv-news-focus-on-australia/.
Among other topics this week, we explore the recent trend of some Microgaming clients to leave that software provider in favor of the Cake Poker network.
There’s no question that Microgaming is widely acknowledged to be one of the best iGaming software providers in the world. So why are some companies leaving?
Microgaming’s decision last year to exit the U.S. market completely — taking the companies that use its software along with it — is probably the culprit here. Since making that decision, Doyle’s Room, and now PokerHost.com, have left Microgaming, presumably to continue courting the highly lucrative, and still-not-clearly-illegal U.S. player base.
What do you think? Will more companies choose to part with Microgaming — a very well-respected and quality provider — in order to retain U.S. players? Is this a smart move, or maybe a legal misstep?
Let us know what you think! Thanks for reading the CAP Forum, and have a great Wednesday.

InactiveHow did two operators leaving a poker network suddenly become an exodus? Doyle’s has been jumping from network to network like a jumping bean so that’s hardly news. Poker Host hardly made a huge contribution when compared to the skins that carry this network.
I would suggest they are both leaving becuase they can’t cut it without the US market. Your report reflects badly on Microgaming and makes Cake out to be some sort of saviour.
I don’t think Microgamign lost much sleep over this.

fintanMemberPerhaps the word “exodus” is a bit strong. But the story was not meant to make Microgaming look bad. We have a lot of respect for Microgaming, and, as I write below, they’re a very high-quality, well-regarded company.
We’re just speculating that perhaps Microgaming’s decision to leave the U.S. market may cost them some clients who depend on that market. You’re right, it could possibly just be these two. But two companies within the last month? That looks like the beginning of a trend to us. And that’s what we’re reporting on; not the quality of Microgaming’s service, which is top-notch.
Thanks for your input!
