InactiveNice post, but don’t be so fast volunteering me here. :hattip:
let Dominique run the forum and deal with the Affiliate Managers, she is highly respected by all, she has nothing to do with whats going on in your personal lives, and I among the rest of us, [ i believe i can speak for everyone on this] TRUST Dominique.
That is a really nice thing to say, but that would be a major undertaking and I do have my own business to run.
And deal with the affiliate managers – yikes! That pesky lot! :3eyes:
I have always been happy just volunteering as mod, I have learened tons from all of you, affiliates and managers alike, and it was time well spent. I have never had any desire to run an aff forum. There are some tough decisions to be made as you go and I have always been happy not being the one to make them.
Posting a lot and moving threads around and cracking the occasional whip when people get belligerent is a lot easier than having full responsibility.
What I like most about CAP is that we were able to straighten out a lot of things that went wrong with various aff programs. Just the other day bestpartners and casino blasters removed their bad terms. It got lost in the scuffle here.
So far the only major problem we haven’t been able to straighten out is the Grand Prive disaster.
So that is one thing I love about CAP. The other is how we competitiors come together and help each other out. Newbies learn from experienced people, but I have also learned a lot from newbie questions, sometimes you can’t see the forest for the trees and new eyes make everything clear.
And it’s not just on a business level, we have helped each other on a personal level and many of us became good friends over the years.
So I see plenty of reason to save CAP, but only we affiliates can save it. It’s all down to us. Do we see the value and do we care to keep it going?
Obviously some affiliate programs will leave after all of this, but – in the end – the programs will be where the affiliates are. So, it’s still up to us.
I don’t know what solution Lou and Warren will arrive at. I think a lot will depend on that too, because we as affiliates will likely base our decisions on these solutions.
But make no mistake, this is all in our hands in the end.

thepaidplayerMemberHi Dominique
I dont know you but i we met very briefly in London I belive.
I want to cover a couple of points on both posts.
I think it would be great for Dominique to take over the forums along with others such BonusStreak and Gamtrack all of which i have a lot of respect for and just for the record i do not work as such with either of them as they always tell me “I am casino not Poker”, but still these people are great mods and could do an awsome job of running the forums. A for Dominique lookingt after people like me i would have to disagree I think it would be a bad idea for her to do that. Everybody is saying that they want CAP to be 100% clear and transparent how can it be if she has deals with a huge number of the affiliate managers regarding her site to me that is a clear conflict of interest.
The question who deals with the operators????
And will the operators want to continue dealing with CAP??
To date we have not been told anything from Warren or any of his staff as to what is happening I really feel something needs to be said about the current state of affairs at CAP.
I think one of the points that Triple777s made was that the affiliates run CAP mayeb I miss read it, but in my mind the affiliates the forums what they are, the operators make exist the funds enable the sites to run and the staff to be paid ect it is a joint effort.
I am sure I could add more i might later.
But just my thoughts for what they are worth.

Definitely a conflict of interest.
Besides, I like my relationships with aff managers the way they are, it would be a totally different ball game if I dealt with you guys in a different capacity. Besides, I value my ability to shout bloddy murder when an aff program adopts a policy thats not good for affs. That is something I will not ever give up.Affiliates run CAP in the sense that if there are no affs, there is no CAP. If affs vote with their feet and leave, there is nothing here. If they vote to stay, that’s when the whole thing can happen.
And you betcha the contributions of the operators are important for the functioning of CAP. It does cost money to run a place like CAP.
And the value is still here, if you are an aff and you want to find out if you want to promote a program, just put the name in search and you will see the good and the bad.
Let’s hope Lou and Warren arrive at an amicable solution that everyone can be happy with.

InactiveLOL- I am with Dom scrambling to keep up on my sites as it is now and no time to run something this HUGE besides my biz partner would hang me

Let’s hope that nothing has been said because things are being worked out, I don’t want to hear anything until fixed and we are told we screwed up, this is the fix and let’s do biz again. For now the ship will run smooth and everyone can carry on.
