This echos what all of us have been saying for awhile and I still firmly believe in late 2009/early 2010 thats we will see a rollback in the laws.

You would think with poor economy and people traveling less to Vegas that they would look to open up the market. It makes sense to regulate the industry.

They are working on it Jamie and I know so through direct contact. Things in the political world happen quietly and this is important. We must support those who support us and our industry in the upcoming Congressional and Governatorial elections. I will provide details on the candidates which we have reached out to privately in our private industry areas. We dont want them targeted by the far right wing freedom assassins.

There WILL be a positive change in late 2009 and in 2010 just watch and see. The news will pre-condition everyone for the shift subtly at first and then we will see the full effects as I have stated.

Nope we dont reveal sources. So we dont lose them.

Thats the secret to political success Bonus. I dont want to make a lot of noise “Fighting the fight” I prefer to quietly “Win the Fight”. Thats how the right wing snuck in their crap on to the safe port act, quietly at the last moment. Lets learn from that. I know I did.

Glad to hear that you have good sources pushing for this, very cool. Definitely looking forward to next year this time to see how this industry shifts. Certainly hope you are right.

According to a piece in The Financial Times, the Massachusetts Democrat is set to launch an offensive to roll back the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of 2006 now that his party is the majority in both the House of Representatives and Senate. He told the newspaper that the climate is now ripe for Congress to unlock restraints that were ‘impinging’ on the freedom of Americans.

Frank serves as the Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee and stated that he also expected measures that enforce UIGEA, which were rushed through during the dying days of the Bush Administration, to be included among measures Congress would look to rescind.

He also declared that the Department of Justice should stop arrresting and prosecuting executives of online gambling firms now that a more liberal political climate pervades following November’s election of Barack Obama.

‘I expect an Obama Department of Justice to be less zealous about locking people up,” Frank told the newspaper.

“These outrageous arrests in transit, they should be stopping that stuff.’

UIGEA makes it illegal for financial institutions to process online gambling transactions and became final on January 19. However, the rules enforcing the legislation are not scheduled for implementation until December, by which time they could have been significantly changed or even done away with.

    Thanks for the info.

3rd to 4th quarter of 2009 we will see begining and full steam ahead in 2010 linda. We just have to all hang on and keep building for the avalanche of new prosperity when it rolls in.

One of my favorite sayings is “You always dig the well BEFORE you need the water” its applicable here.

    Excellent News!

When writing for my blogs and telling people that “No US Players accepted” or that bonuses are for “Non-US players” I find it hard to resist saying that people in other countries are more free to do as they choose than US residents.

A rollback of other political interference and nonsense would also be welcomed!
